Packed with fabulous and nutritious hair-loving ingredients, Restore and Shine Hair Masque has inspired us to come up with a list of pick-me-ups based on the ingredients in this luxurious hair mask.
Here’s our list of favourite treats inspired by the ingredients in our favourite natural hair mask.
Natural Hair Mask favourite, Avocado
Avocado on toast, bursting with nutrients to nourish body and hair.
Avocado is a vital ingredient in Restore and Shine Hair Masque. But what is it that makes avocado so good for hair? First, avocado is one of nature’s best hair conditioning treatments. So, if your hair is dry, this hair repair mask containing avocado adds moisture, leaving it easier to work with and style.
Avocados contain linoleic and oleic fatty acids. Linoleic acid is best for balancing scalp condition. Oleic acid helps hair retain moisture, making avocado oil an excellent ingredient for fighting frizz.
A warming cup of nettle tea to soothe body and soul.
So, a warming cuppa is a comfort in the winter months and refreshing in the summer. We love to try all kinds of herbal teas. Nettle tea is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, making it a perfect choice for your healthy hair diet. Nettle is rich in silica, which helps to leave hair shiny. It’s a vital ingredient in our Restore and Shine as it offers deep conditioning for dull, dry hair.

A slice of lemon drizzle cake; pure indulgence.
When it’s grey outside and, you are longing for sunshine, a slice of lemon cake is a surefire mood lifter. But there’s more to lemons than enhancing a sweet treat. Loaded with Vitamin C, lemons and other citrus fruits contain essential nutrients for healthy hair growth.
Vitamin C is in many fruits and vegetables. Vitamin C helps your body absorb iron which helps with healthy hair growth. Lemon essential oil is blended with lime and may chang in our deep conditioner, Restore and Shine Hair Masque giving it a super-uplifting zesty aroma when you apply it to your hair.
A favourite lavender candle to calm the mind and stimulate the senses.
The calming aroma of lavender is a relaxing treat. Breathe in and enjoy the moment. We love lavender for its restorative properties. That’s why it’s an active ingredient in our hair repair mask, Restore and Shine Hair Masque, formulated to repair damaged hair.
A lime body scrub to wake up your skin.
There’s nothing that says pick-me-up quite like the zesty aroma of lime essential oil. Body scrubs are a real treat and great for bringing winter skin back to life.
Energy-boosting juices are pepped up with lemon and lime.
Forget feeling lacklustre in the mornings. Because drinking green juices with added lemon and lime can kick-start your day and put some kick-ass in your day!
Add some new flavours to your food.
Adding herbs to food is a delicious way of pepping up a midweek meal. We like to experiment and, as we are taking inspiration from Restore and Shine Hair Masque, let’s talk about sage.
Sage is an active ingredient in Restore and Shine Hair Masque; we use it to soften and smooth hair for frizz-free hair. When it comes to adding sage to the food, we tend to think of it as an accompaniment to meats. However, using this Mediterranean herb with veggie dishes like mushroom pasta is delicious for a midweek treat.
Relax in a warm bath with your natural hair mask.
There’s something about the winter months that makes us want to climb into the comfort of a warm bath. Restore and Shine Hair Masque applied to the hair, breathing in those spa-like aromas.
Think exotic spas.
All the while, your hair is getting a deep conditioning treatment.
Take some time out once a week to enjoy some time for self-care with a deep conditioning natural hair mask. Look after body and soul and your hair. We can forget hair when we think about self-care. But our hair is vital to feeling good about how we look. It’s just as important as our skin.
A weekly treat with a natural hair mask is one of the best ways of tackling damaged hair. Not to mention maintaining good hair health. Our founder Norris believes the key to great looking, healthy hair is putting back what you take out. So, here’s what he means by that.
Hair gets exposed to many things such as sun, wind, rain, plus heated styling. That exposure to the elements can leave hair dry.
For that reason, a hair repair mask is a vital way of replenishing hair and adding moisture. Treating hair weekly builds moisture. Regular treatments help hair retain moisture.
How do you use a natural hair repair mask?
Because a hair repair mask is a part of a healthy hair care routine, we think this is an important question. When you use a weekly hair mask, it’s vital to get the most from it. Plus, you want to get the best results for your hair type.
Discover why using a deep conditioning hair mask is good for hair in our blog on this subject. We talk about how to use a hair mask by hair type. Whether your hair is fine, dry, damaged, colour-treated, afro or curly, you can find out how to use a hair mask by hair type. Read for expert tips on how to use a natural hair mask specific to your hair type.
For more generic tips on how to use a hair mask, here’s what we recommend.
- Apply the hair repair mask on damp, clean hair. So, ideally, you would shampoo before application and rinse. There’s no need to apply a conditioner.
- After shampooing and rinsing, gently squeeze the excess water with a towel. That should leave hair damp but not dripping wet.
- Apply the hair repair mask to the ends and mid-lengths and leave for a minimum of 10 minutes or longer to let the hair soak up the moisture.
- Rinse the hair and dry it and style it as normal.
- If you are using Restore and Shine Hair Masque, use around 10ml of product. You may need a little more or less but remember Restore and Shine Hair Masque is concentrated. So you don’t need much. You should expect to get 15 to 20 uses out of a 200ml pot.
We hope our list of favourite treats, inspired by the nourishing ingredients of Restore and Shine Hair Masque, has inspired you to beat the winter blues with some lovely treats of your own. For you and your hair! Enjoy. x

“Beauty Bible fell in love with this mask when we discovered it at a Cosmetic Executive Women product demo evening. The brand comes from a London hair salon, and the mask is a huge boon for hair – packed with avocado, olive oil, aloe vera, nettle and horsetail, together with sage (which is rich in vitamins A, C and E). Just a sniff of this rich, unctuous deep conditioner perks you up. Use for gleaming shiny, healthy hair.”
