We’re experts in hair care and like to share the tips and tricks of our trade, plus the latest style advice. So keep coming back. And feel free to ask us a question and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
Our philosophy is that to achieve shiny, healthy hair it needs the best nutrients – inside and out. Check your diet and drink plenty of water. Vitamins A and C, found in green vegetables, help the scalp to produce sebum, a natural oil, essential for great condition and to promote shiny hair.
Your hair is your best accessory, so don’t make the mistake of thinking it only has one style. Achieve a different look by simply changing a parting, trying an updo or using hands to create movement. Have some fun and play around with different styles – you’ll be amazed at how easily you can give it a different twist.
Concentrate on the roots, using your fingers for short hair and a brush for longer hair. Dry your hair with your head upside down, working with your fingertips at the roots. Use heated rollers to create lift, leaving them in until they have completely cooled. If you want to use fixatives such as mousse, use them at the roots only.
Turn the volume up by backcombing or back-brushing hair, especially when wearing it up - Mason Pearson brushes are great for this and a good investment.
If your hair is feeling dry and burnt out, try minimising the use of heated styling tools. Plait damp hair and let down for loose waves/soft curls and a fun party look.
Don't forget to read the ingredients in your hair care. Look for products containing those that will nourish – pro-vitamin B5 is a fantastic emollient, and in our experience really shines hair. Using products containing proteins helps too, fortifying and softening.
